Self Care Routine


When was the last time you said prayer?

When was the last time you prayed for somebody?


With these COVID rates increasing especially in the state of California. It’s been scary and challenging at the same time. How are you coping through this process? Are you taking extra measures to take care of yourself? Self care is so important during this time. What is your self care routine?


Self care is about your everyday habits that help take care and nurture your health and well being. It requires you to listen to your body, taking a moment to check in with yourself such as your mind, behaviors, and your beliefs.





My Self Care Routine

Prayer

Prayer is my base and foundation. It's what builds my faith to have a better relationship with the Lord. It helps my direction and how I handle situations through life. I've learned to only worry about the things I can control, not the things I can't control.


Working Out

Working out is what helps me through my stress and anxiety. On a weekly bases I tend to run eight to ten miles. It's a way to clear my head and take some time for myself.


Knitting

Knitting gives me a sense of calmness. People have always said that I have an old soul. One thing I cherish most is knitting because my grandmother taught me. The memories we shared such as staying up to three in the morning and watching old movies was always the best time to knit.


I believe everyone has their own self care routine. What is yours?
