Self Love - 11/19/22

What does self love mean to you? Self love is knowing your flaws and imperfections. You appreciate everything about yourself, you take care of your own needs and not sacrificing your own well being for others. You are intuned with your own happiness. Think of self love as a journey through life, not a destination. During your journey you will learn to define your own acceptance through knowing your strengths and weaknesses. It’s all about how you accept yourself.


Love your strengths and weaknesses because that is what makes you unique and different. There is only one of you and nobody can ever take that away. You are molded into the person who you are supposed to be. With your creation you are capable of love, creating, and believing in who you are representing which is yourself.


Five Steps Towards Self Love Making Peace With Your Insecurities Acknowledge your insecurities and forgive yourself. We are all human and it's ok to question your insecurities. By removing the judgment towards yourself, you are acknowledging your insecurities. You have to learn not to allow your past situations to happen again. Remember, your own insecurities will become an obsession if you continue to feed it.

Discover What is Important To You (Exercise) Switch your focus and write down your top three things that are most important to you in your life. Questions to think about:

  • What feeds your soul?

  • What makes you smile?

  • What brings you passion?

  • What makes you excited?

Set Boundaries Giving yourself boundaries by saying no to activities and interactions is showing yourself the love you deserve. Sometimes you just need those few moments for yourself and that's ok. If you have people in your circle who stress you out and bring you down, you don't need them. Learn to create your space and evaluate your relationships and decide who you want in your tribe.

Let Go of the Comparison Instead of focusing your time on where you think you should be compared to others, start focusing on your goals. Think about where you are compared to last year. Remember, everyone is made different for a reason. We are all special in our different ways. You cannot compare yourself to anybody else because there is only one of you.

Practice Self Care "Oh my favorite!" Practicing self care is something everyone deserves. Nobody in their right mind is too busy for self care. It's very simple: nourish yourself, commit to exercising, healthy dieting, getting enough sleep, and social interaction. When you show yourself love through actions you will always make yourself a priority. It will set your foundation for your growth and living the life towards your fullest potential.
